HOW TO TALK TO PEOPLE ABOUT THINGS:
INFORMATION ABOUT REDUCED RATE SPOTS
In order to keep the class accessible to a broad range of participants, a number of seats are made available at a reduced rate of $400, or in cases of greater financial need, $100. Because of demand, these spots are assigned by lottery. If you apply for one of these spots, you may or may not get one. (For a guaranteed spot in the class, go through regular registration.)
These reduced-rate spots are intended for people for whom the regular price of the class is prohibitive.
The lottery for reduced-rate admissions generally happens anywhere from 4 to 7 weeks before the start of the class, and the lottery is open for around a week. If you'd like to be notified when the admission lottery for reduced-rate spots opens, sign up for the lottery announcement list. You will get an email when the lottery opens, including a link to a questionnaire to complete to be considered in the lottery.
Another option for some people, if the price of the class is prohibitive to you, is to see if your employer will pay for all or part of your admission fee.
