I got to help out at the amazing Progress Conference in Berkeley. I write here about what made it such a great conference and also about ways in which conferences can be even better than this.
The Reason Most Conferences are Bad is That Running a Conference is Scary
My client, the gene therapy company Dyno Therapeutics, wanted to take a powerful idea and build it into a movement. They had never run a conference before but managed to run an event that attendees gave a mean net promoter score of 6.7 out of 7. Their success took a lot of strategy and also a lot of courage. I talk about how they did it.
